Hi there, and welcome to this page, dedicated to the mandolin and the violin.
I used to teach in Melbourne, but I’m away at the moment. Don’t hesitate to ask me questions via the comment section. Thanks!
Playing the mandolin or the violin is fun and being able to play a theme or a song you love is a true pleasure. I am happy to teach beginner and advanced students in Melbourne. I write music scores (both TABs and staves) very easy to read. You’ll learn more every week, and will be surprised by the progress you make. My philosophy is
-to enjoy playing music regardless of your background
-to explain any difficulty you may encounter while playing
-to enlarge your repertory, and improve your skills
-to enjoy playing (once again!)
Any style is welcome, from Bluegrass (cf Bill Monroe), to Irish folk, japanese music, as well as celtic songs and dances (Galicia, Brittany, Wales etc…). I also love classical (cf Vivaldi) and gypsy music. A native of Brittany, I have traveled and lived in Europe, Japan, and Australia. Children are of course welcome too!

Rates are $40 /1hr for adults, and $30 /45 min for children (5-14)
Student Mandolin rental rates:
deposit $120 per month:$30 per 3 months $70 (acoustic or electro-acoustic models)
Fretted fiddles available too. Please ask.
